As we reflect on 2023 we mark a significant milestone - the second year of implementing the United Nations Population Fund 8th Country Programme of Cooperation with the Government of Zimbabwe (2022 - 2026). This program cycle guides our efforts to ensure that every woman, adolescent girl, young person and marginalised groups in Zimbabwe have access to Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) information and services and the power to make informed choices about their bodies and future.
Significant results and milestones were achieved in 2023...
The results achieved would not have been possible without the steadfast commitment of the Government of Zimbabwe, the unwavering generosity of funding partners, the partnerships we had with United Nations sister agencies, and the sterling job done by implementing partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of our partners, whose support fuels our efforts to create a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled.
Despite all these achievements, a lot still remains to be done as we work together to ensure: Zero Maternal deaths; Zero Unmet need for family planning; Zero Gender based violence and harmful practices and Zero New HIV infections.
