The National Study on Adolescent Fertility was conducted to have a better understanding of adolescent
pregnancy, which is on the increase. The objectives of the study were to: (i) assess the level of adolescent
pregnancies in Zimbabwe; (ii) assess the factors significantly contributing towards adolescent pregnancy in
Zimbabwe; (iii) establish the consequences of adolescent pregnancy; and (iv) to provide recommendations for
future programming on reducing adolescent fertility in Zimbabwe.
